Professor Qiuju Wang
On behalf of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Physicians in Audiology (IAPA), I would like to express my gratitude to all IAPA members for their contributions to the clinical audiovestibular field.
In IAPA, all of us, standing on a history of 40 years with more than 40 countries’ clinical doctors and scientists follow the same ideal: to bring audiovestibular medicine into the first rank of the medical science and to promote it by our clinical work and researches.
Our efforts for understanding of audiovestibular medicine at the clinical, the imaging, and the molecular levels will create unprecedented opportunities to diagnose and cure those diseases. For instance, we could see from the themes of the Odense congress in 2016: tinnitus, inner ear diseases, sudden deafness and vestibular medicines have been concentrated that’s classic topics. Telemedicine, genetics, genomic technology application and cell therapy on the other hand are those cutting-edge explorations that will bring us more opportunities and will be the targets for the next few years.
With the strong academic background, IAPA is planning to arrange international and national based symposiums and workshops in different countries (continents). More communications among members will create new opportunities for promoting global-level cooperation and programs. Please see our new IAPA website for more information.
As the president of IAPA, I am honored and humbled to invite you to join us as new members, perhaps even representing your region or country and to spreading the understanding of audiovestibular medicine.
I hope to see you all in Beijing in 2022 for the 20th IAPA congress.
With warmest regards,
Prof Qiuju Wang
